It’s Sunday. Autumn has arrived in a shroud of gloom and wetness. The End is clearly nigh but it’s ok, there’s one thing which still brightens my day. What could that be?
Dim sum at Pearl Liang. That’s what.
These photos were actually taken a couple of weeks ago but lately the weather has been more dim sum inclined than ever. I can’t imagine anything better than a steaming hot prawn and chive dumpling on a cold wet day, can you?
Anyway, you lucky things get a break from my endless waffling today with this offer of a photo post! Enjoy!

Everything was absolutely delicious, but my highlights from the meal? The wasabi prawn dumplings (with a very decent wasabi punch in the face), lobster noodles (ex Mandarin Kitchen chef, I hear) and the deep fried custard buns OMGSOSINFUL.

But y’know, I find dim sum from Royal China hard to beat. Guess I’ll have to try Pearl Liang and see if they can change my mind!

I hear that PL is the place to go for Dim Sum in London. These images would seem to indicate that the word on the (foodie) street is indeed right.
Those custard buns are as fine looking dessert as I’ve seen for a while.
Ooh look at you with your fancy lobster noodles! But hey why not although I usually go for roast meats with my noodles at a dim sum feast.

every comment from me from now on will just be droooooolllllll….. drooooool. those golden fried custard buns are the shiniest things i’ve seen! i can almost hear the crunch and then the soft tender burst of custard in my mouth…….mmmmmmm……and the dumplings and the noodles and the omg i need to lie down in the office
