It’s that time of the year again when you’ve got to dig deep into the recesses of your mind (and pocket) and shell out for some Christmas presents. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love buying presents for people, even more so than for myself I promise, but what stresses me out the most is buying a present that your nearest and dearest will love.

Because isn’t that the whole idea of buying presents? Yes, yes it is.

Well, if you have any foodies in your life, Interflora are making things easy for you this year by putting together a variety of hampers to suit everyone, from the drinkers amongst us, to the chocolate addicts, fruit mongers and even those with a conscience? There’s a Fairtrade hamper.

I was lucky enough to sample the Fairtrade hamper. Not one of the more indulgent hampers, but definitely enough to tickle the cockles of any food appreciating person including organic orange marmalade, two blocks of chocolates, stem ginger cookies (because I am now 110% obsessed with ginger)…

… and other goodies like nuts, fudge and “Grumpy Mule” coffee (hehe), all sourced via Fairtrade. I particularly love this hamper and chose it because without preaching about the whole thing, Fairtrade is important and is essential to ensure the ethical sourcing and production of foods that you and I both love, so go with it, people!

Ok, with one sentence of seriousness, I can feel the whole mood of this post shift so let’s shift it back! And how better to do so than with cupcakes? Interflora sent me some of these personalised cupcakes to try and to be perfectly honest, I didn’t expect them to be better than any other mass produced cupcake. They come in a box of nine, with five chocolate cupcakes and four vanilla and boy, do I take my words back.

The cupcakes were da bomb. The frosting aside (I peeled it off. I mean, I think the layer of icing serves more as a message board than culinary delight) and the cupcakes themselves were moist and seriously delicious. I shared some with workmates and they were gushing about how awesome the cupcakes were… and sadly, I couldn’t take any credit 🙁

So. Back to this present buying dilemma. If you’re stuck on an idea for Christmas, check out Interflora’s hamper range, or specifically, their range of Christmas hampers. From £19.99 to £99.99, there’s pretty much something for everyone, and you know what would be even neater? If You Won One For FREE!

Thanks for the competition, superb prize.

  22. Shame it’s not open to peeps out of the UK like moi but oh, INTERFLORA rocks. And so does all that DIVINE chocolate. What a hamper.

  23. for christmas I would like a fancy cake stand!

  24. I suppose I would like either a wooden flute, or a dslr camera. 🙂 It’s more likely that I’ll get a wooden flute. I’ve recently blown into a metallic flute, and couldn’t get enough breath playing, so that tested me well. I’d like a challenge, and a wooden flute will give me that, and the fact that if it’s a handmade craft flute even better. I have tweeted this amazing giveaway! I love that interflora offer this fair trade bundle of joy.
