There’s always that one dish that you request when you go home to see your parents. One favourite dish that you crave but can’t seem to recreate. For me it’s my mum’s fish curry with okra (and sometimes eggplant, but unfortunately not this time). This was tonight’s dinner!
I LOVE IT.
ps. I just noticed how grubby the plate is… heh, sorry, I guess I just wanted to snap and eat!
I love okra. Tell ur ‘mum’ im comin over
Never mind the grubby plate – the food looks yummy. I have yet to get into curry OR okra. Still, a picture can say all sorts of things…
Glad you are sounding like your happy self again. π
Wow – those are like Godzilla Okra, maHOOsive. That, or you eat off dinky plates and have micro-portions. Nah. They’re just bloody big okra aren’t they. Looks damn tasty whatever.
Oh yum! My dad makes the exact same curry!! So cool to see other families do too!

Yutjangsah: come on over, gurlfren! π
Linda: Oh you must venture into curry! Malaysian curries are my favourite, followed by Thai… surely an asian grocery store will sell packets of premixed flavouring!
The Grubworm: Yes they’re huge!! My uncle grew them π We eat a lot of organic over here!
Sarah: GO FISH CURRY!
Yum! How I’d LOVE to try this dish! Will you make it for me when you’re back in Sydney??!
I will *attempt* to make it for you π
Can you publish the recipe I have to make this
