I’m not sure if it’s public knowledge or relevant knowledge or even remotely interesting to any of you. I think maybe it’s one of those irrelevant pieces of factoids that I seem to regularly force upon you guys, but I’m giving it to you anyway. Over a decade ago – woah wait, over a decade ago? How old am I? Older than I look, is the right answer and every time I say that out loud, I feel the muscles tighten around my templates from fear, anxiety and hm, maybe it’s actually creating new wrinkles *ack!* but that’s for a-whole-nother blog post.
A post for when I have a glass of several bottles of wine with me.
But I digress.

Yesterday morning was one of the most difficult mornings I’ve ever had to deal with. I mean, I thought that last year’s post-Santorini holiday blues were bad. The endless blue skies and warm weather… but now, add to the endless blue skies and warm weather the most adorable, cuddly, chubby baby ever and you’ll see why I found it so hard to drag myself away and back to the 9-to-5 humdrum of life.

A few months ago, a PR emailed me asking for my opinion on the best fish and chips in the UK. I replied with “Morgans Seafood in Brisbane”. “No, in the UK,” she reiterated. “Oh. Well in that case, nothing.”

I’ve just set my Out of Office (is that seriously the best feeling or what?) and tomorrow I am off to Brisvegas to see my parents and then on Wednesday next week… I get to cuddle this adorable little creature! I CANNOT WAIT.
I’m sure I’ll find time to blog from the sunshine state, if I’m not too busy sipping cocktails by the pool or eating chubby little babies, but if you miss me a little too much *coughGAG* come visit my twitter stream. I’m never off that thing.

Often on a weekday evening, you’ll find me huddled at my desk at work at some ungodly o’clock, cursing to myself about the late hours that I have to work. Sometimes, I take it out on the twitterverse. It’s just this job I have, and without saying too much and being dooced, all I’ll say is… I sometimes work late nights.
But you see, there is a plus side to working late nights. The biggest plus being that I Get To Sleep In. On a weekday BOOYAH! I betcha y’all don’t all get to sleep in. Unless you do, in which case, the second plus is that instead of cramming and queuing with the rest of humanity to get a decent brunch on a weekend, I get to cruise down the road, sit where I want and enjoy a chillaxed brunch. All on a Wednesday morning.
