Another year has come and gone in the blink of an eye and here I find myself sitting on a beach. Not a bad way to end the year, really, and certainly not the way we’ve spent the last four new years. What a year 2011 has been, and I hope that your year has been as full of significant moments as mine. .
Well. We are now onto Day 5 of having to eat some form of ham and I can tell you, I’m Over It. I know there are people starving out there but if I have to look at one more piece of ham, I will stab myself in the eye. Maybe with one of those Lindt chocolate umbrellas that’s hanging off my tree. Thank goodness we have now slaughtered all the remaining ham in the household. So, what did you eat over Christmas? .
Since I blogged about our hunt for the best burger in Sydney, a squillion (ok, not really) recommendations have fallen in my lap and our list of burgers-to-have is getting scarily long. Not that there’s anything scary about eating a burger or twenty. .
Instagram. I am completely and utterly 100% addicted to Instagram and it is all I can do to stop myself from snapping and sharing every single thing I see, every single day. Before I got my iPhone, I didn’t get the hype about Instagram, but now I do, oh yes I do. It’s basically like Twitter, except a bazillion times better because it’s All. In. Photos. (Which is excellent for those who are especially nosey. Like me.) So… what did I do while my niece was in town? Instagrammed her to death. And the food we ate, of course. Enjoy! .
I feel completely spoiled because I’ve just had not one, but two of the best weekends in a row. This weekend just gone, I had the pleasure of spending all of my waking hours with my niece, who is just the best thing since Luke’s lobster rolls, and I know you think I’m being biased and all that but dude, who’s blog is this? Yeah. YEAH. .
Update 5 March 2012: Lotus Bistro has closed. I am SAD Excuse the crummy photo. We actually ate in the bar area at Lotus, which was almost pitch black and because I don’t use any fandangle apps like Photoshop, I milked Microsoft Office Picture Manager’s “brightness and contrast” tool for all it was worth and voila! I had to share this with you because this is, to date, the best burger we’ve had in Sydney. Have a great weekend y’all! .
