I’M ALIVE! Yes, yes I am. My last blog post was exactly one week ago, and believe it or not, this time I can’t point an accusing finger at my Instagram addiction. I’ve actually been way over here in Johanneburg, South Africa, hidden in the depths of corporate conferencing, barely surviving six days straight of 7.30am  to 10pm sessions / networking dinners.

I’m tired.

Today has been the first time I’ve gotten back to the hotel at a reasonable hour and I could not wait to have a loooong hot shower, order room service and BUM. And by “bum”, clearly, I mean “blog”.

Being confined in a work conference since Saturday, we’ve been subjected to conference food and well, I don’t need to explain, do I? We’ve managed to venture out a couple of times to slap our taste buds awake and last night I caught up with some colleagues from our Singapore office at Bukhara, an Indian restaurant located in the heart of Sandton City.

I have to say, the food was goooooooooooooood. Maybe it was because we’d suffered endless days of bland conference catering, but I’d like to think not. I don’t eat Indian food all that often, but my colleagues from Singapore do, and if they rate it, I’d give it my vote too.

I wrapped up with a serve of home made mango sorbet, which was divine. Not heavily mango-y but a perfect balance of sweet and smoothness. Love.

Anyway, I’m half way through the slog! Six more days and I’ll be heading back to Sydney. You cannot imagine how much I’m looking forward to Easter weekend (which I’ll be spending celebrating my niece’s first birthday by the way – squeeee!)

I’ll try and come up for air again soon but yes, I’m still alive 🙂
