oh yes I did: the KFC Double

I first had one of these 18 months ago in NYC, and I am still talking about it. So when KFC decided to bring back The Double (as it is known in the land of Oz) just for today and tomorrow, I did a little happy dance.

For realz.

There are a lot of haters out there about KFC and this particular breadless burger, but I don’t really give a flying fluck. I don’t eat KFC every day (twice a year maybe) so if I choose to clog my arteries with two luscious pieces of fried chicken, sandwiching a slice of bacon, cheese and oozy BBQ sauce, so be it.

BIG LOVE. Go get yours quick!

bite sized: perfect day for a har mee

I think I’ve been gone from London too long. It’s 17 degrees today (supposedly) and I am freezing. Maybe it’s the wind chill. Yes, yes, it’s totally the wind chill factor. Newton Hawker Food Centre, Singapore

We all know I’m not a classy girl. I don’t need caviar and champagne to be happy. Give me some good local food, especially hawker food, served on plastic plates and I am on cloud nine. Which is why our Sunday night dinner at Newton Food Centre in the heart of Singapore rated as my best meal over the four day weekend.

Singapore seafood extravanganza! Long Beach @ Dempsey

black pepper crab

Isn’t it always the same with holidays? They seem like eons away, and you count and you sleep and you count sleeps, and after longer than eternity times infinity, they finally arrive! And then you go, and before you know it, it’s over. GAH. I hate post holiday blues. I know it was only four days, but four days was enough for me to relax, forget about work and… gain a couple of kilos.
