I think I’ve been gone from London too long. It’s 17 degrees today (supposedly) and I am freezing. Maybe it’s the wind chill. Yes, yes, it’s totally the wind chill factor. The upside to this weather is that it is perfect for a big bowl of hot noodle soup, especially my favourite har mee (prawn noodles) from Malay Chinese on Hunter Street.

So. Much. Awesomeness.

7 Thoughts on “bite sized: perfect day for a har mee

  1. Poor you. It’s 17C today in London, and it’s bleeding June! BTW like the look of Malay Chinese Takeaway – we need more places like this that in London..

  2. Our growing season isn’t up to snuff, this year. Just a couple of days ago, it finally got Summer-hot, but the nights are quite cold as soon as the sun goes down. My herb seeds didn’t sprout, nor did the lemon seeds. The pumpkin leaves look pretty good, but the gaia melon is sparse. Other things almost didn’t sprout..e-HEM!… and I think I give up on tomatoes, this year. Late rains brought up high weeds and,..do you have a clue how hard it is to weed-whack an acre?
By the way, that har mee looks yummy! πŸ˜€

  3. LOL But it is freeeezing! And London houses are so much better equipped for the cold than ours. But hey I’ll use any reason for a bowl of this πŸ˜€

  4. If only hunter st was near to my place, I would go there every single day πŸ™‚ One of the best places for Malaysian Laksa and Har Mee for me. Btw, where did the egg yolk for your Har Mee go? :p

  5. Nah, our summers are SO hot (unlike the UK) that when it falls below 25 degrees we all freeze to death. True Story.

Oh that looks good! I’d love to have one right now!

  7. Mr Noodles: Haha yeah our temps are the same except it’s winter here and summer there! You would LOVE this place. It’s almost hawker like and the food is brilliant.

Linda: Haha weeding. That’s the reason why I choose to live in an apartment in the city. I can’t handle weeding! Shame about your produce. I hope they grow soon!

Lorraine: It IS right? I’m not crazy??

Chicco: I know, I would too! I dont know where my yolk went hahahaha I think it fell into the soup and disintegrated!

Miss Piggy: True story. I believe it. Their summer is 17 degs.

jenny: I want one now again too πŸ™‚
