Cone Bay barramundi with spanner crab and prawn tortellini, sweet corn and thyme butter

It had been raining all week. I prayed to the weather gods (or maybe I just asked the Café Sydney staff) to please make it not rain today, and look at the service. They not only made it not rain, today was the quintessential Sydney winter’s day – clear blue skies, a light breeze and 20 degrees. A perfect way to spend lunch with a colleague from the US, and his birthday to boot!

Moreton Bay bugs, prawn, avocado, truss tomato, cos lettuce, ocean trout roe

Grilled baby octopus, chorizo, braised octopus, red pepper, olive, aioli, chilli vinaigrette

Seared scallops with some amazing fritata 😉
This was on the specials menu and I can’t remember the exact description

Tandoori roasted Tasmanian ocean trout, spinach bhaji, spiced beans, raita, coconut

Grilled Queensland prawns, smoked eggplant, farro, cavolo nero, harissa

Petit fours: salted caramel macarons, coconut & passionfruit financiers,
mango cheesecake, strawberry truffles
