In May 2009, after having maintained a personal blogspot for five years, I decided to stretch my blogging legs and create my own website, and so thecattylife was born.
thecattylife is about the one thing which has been my love for as long as I can possibly remember – food. You’ll probably find that the Eating Out posts are disproportionate to the Eating In posts, because Eating Out is what I do, and what I do well. But I do tinker in the kitchen, and you’ll know about it when that happens.
Although thecattylife is a food blog, I’m sure I’ll sneak in some of my own adventures and misadventures along the way, but be sure that they will all be speckled with one common theme… the delicious! Also, be warned that while most other blogs are well thought out and structured, my posts are likely to resemble ramblings of an A.D.D. foodie and are mostly written on a whim.
Oh, and that’s a photo of me, a whole 30 minutes into my Rome trip, stuffing my foodhole with one of many-to-come gelatos. Damn, I make myself proud!

Note: all food photos in this blog are taken by me, unless otherwise stipulated. I used Canon Digital IXUS870 IS until November 2009, when I upgraded to a Canon PowerShot s90. My camera is my baby and best friend.
Please also note that I have had no formal training in writing about food, talking about food or even eating food. I write, talk and eat purely because it brings me joy
