6pm is not too late for a nap is it? I asked that of the wise twitterati and it was with great glee that I was told, no, no 6pm is certainly not too late for a nap.

And lucky that because wow, did I need that nap. My weekend began with a fancy dinner and ended with an indulgent lunch, and in between? There was a lot of gluttony going on and like any good little piggy, I just needed to sleep it off.

On Thursday last week it was a stunning 25°C. It lasted all of  a sad 24 hours and on Friday, winter decided to rear its ugly head, pummelling London with big fat freezing raindrops and dropping the temperature to a positively chilly 13°C. 13 degrees man, and for those who have no idea how Celsius works, that’s a meagre 55° Fahrenheit, which in my opinion is simply Not Warm Enough for September.

It happened again. This time last year, I remember waking up, frothing at the mouth excited like someone was giving me a puppy wrapped in a ticket to Vegas on Christmas morning. But it wasn’t Christmas and there was no puppy. A ticket to Vegas did come eventually, but that’s not the story. The story goes that this time last year, I was so eager to get to Taste of London that I made Panu run to the event.
