Right this moment I have to say I deserve something amazing. Like totally amazing.
Like an Eton mess, complete with fresh strawberries and blueberries and generous scoops of Häagen Dazs vanilla ice cream.
YEAH.
Saturday was always going to be a good. For starters, I woke up and ate Goober Grape squished between two slices of soft white bread for breakfast. What’s Goober Grape you ask? Well, click on the link you lazy punk ass. Or wait. Because I am planning on a whole video post, yes a video post, just for my beloved Goobz.
After breakfast, I went for a haircut with my one and only (well, my one and only hairdresser anyway) who gave me the best shiatsu massage ever. As if that wasn’t already a great start to the day Panu and I then headed to South Kensington for a spot of lunch at Jak’s Cafe and right there in Jak’s Cafe, my life changed forever.
I spoke to a Prince.
So last year I went along to this event called the Food Blogger Connect. I had no idea what to expect really, except that it was held at a groovy Lebanese restaurant, but wow, what an event!
Food, food, bloggers, food, cameras, food! I mean really, is there anything else to life?! I’m not sure, but what I do know is that I’m really looking forward to this year’s event.

My grandfather, my “ah gong”. I don’t really know how to start this post, except to say that every single year at Chinese New Year, I miss my ah gong more than you’d expect and surprisingly, more than even I expect.
I never knew him very well ~ I was born in Australia, but we moved back to Malaysia when I was a wee bundle of fat rolls, because he was old and his health was ailing. He passed away in December 1986. I had just turned seven.

Those of you who follow me on twitter knew eons in advance that Panu’s mum was coming to visit. Why? Because I tweeted relentlessly about the packets of timtams she was bringing with her and how I just could. not. wait. to get my dirty little paws on them.
Well bring she did. But wrapped she also did. The timtams are my Christmas present and y’know, I can’t be upsetting Santa what with opening presents before Christmas day, right?
Wrong. I opened it anyway. Just to make sure it was all there ~ and yes it was ~ and it’s now re-wrapped and only T-minus two days until the great (official) unveiling! Let’s see if they last that long 😉
