Last night, as soon as I finished work, I went straight to Macy’s and got my 10% discount card just like I promised you I would. Priority one done.
Priority two? Get on the subway and hurtle towards New York’s East Village – I was totally disproportionately excited in the knowledge that I was about to consume the one and only Luke’s Lobster roll.
The time is 7.54pm eastern standard time. I arrived in New York City literally less than 3 hours ago and what’s the first thing I eat? KyoChon Fried Chicken, baby! Maybe it’s destiny because by complete randomness, I’ve landed my butt in a hotel in Manhattan’s Koreatown. Maybe secretly – or maybe the Koreans know something I don’t – but just maybe, I am Korean afterall.
It stopped snowing this weekend and the temperatures rose to a balmy 5°C, so Panu and I decided to go check out the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. It was rather grey and gloomy though, and threatened to rain, but we focused on the task at hand: bratwursts, chips and hot chocolates!

The big freeze seems to have taken a strangle hold again. The temperatures earlier this week thrusted our month of November into London’s history books as being the coldest in over 30 years. We’re bundled up and trudging through the heaving (or trickling, depends where you are) snow, barely managing to keep frostbite from claiming our little noses.
