I am (unashamedly) a creature of habit. When I find something I like doing, I do it with huge love and commitment and I would do it all day every day, until well, one day when I don’t like doing it any more. And when I like eating something, I eat it as often as I humanly can (sometimes I can eat the same thing every day for weeks – remember my thing with meatballs?) until one day the thought of it makes me gag.

On Saturday night, I instagrammed and tweeted a photo of a pavlova I had made for a dinner party. As you can tell, it was a rush job because I didn’t even have time to lay a sheet as a backdrop, I used my carpet for gods sake. In any case, the response was phenomenal with lots of people giving me compliments for my little bake-job, and also asking for the recipe. *blush*

Well, it’s not a new recipe. It’s a tried and tested (many times) oldie, so I know it works 🙂

Well, I must be feeling better if I’m making ice cream sandwiches. And I am. Thanks for all the well wishes from the previous post. In a nutshell, I’m much much better, still a little sore but I can now talk, and most importantly, I can eat. Huzzah!

Now, because I am supremely organised (what, you didn’t know that about me? Haven’t read my About page? I need to update that actually…), I made a bunch of recuperative food before I went into surgery, namely the pork & daikon soup and on doctors orders (no joke), some ice cream. Cookies & cream, to be precise.

For a bit of fun, I’ve also made a few little ice cream sandwiches.
