I’ve never blogged twice in one day, ever.
But I had the Hawksmoor kimchi burger (kimchi? In a burger? Who does that? Well, they do) for lunch and it would be a crime not to share it with you. You read that right, kimchi. In a burger.
Oh and those there are beef dripping chips. You know what “dripping” is a code word for? Fat. Goddamn, that was a sweet lunch!

Short and sweet! still to get down there, it’s just too far away for lunch, but soon Hawksmoor, soon!

That looks SO good.
WOW that does look so good!. What camera do you use? if you dont mind me asking
Rich: Make a dunner or weekend trip, it’s well worth it. I can’t wait to go back for the Tamworth belly ribs!
sakura: It WAS.
Matthew: I use a Canon s90 🙂
Kim chi is such a great idea for a burger-genius actually! 😮
I get the feeling we are going to be hearing a LOT about this burger…
(I had it last night. It was pretty great.)
Someone once told me about kim chi. She warned,”Kimchi will give you umchi”.
Is this true or was she just a woos?
Lorraine: I know, it’s weird isn’t it??
Lizzie: I can’t wait to go back for Tamworth belly ribs. my EYES drooled looking at those…
Linda: Ummmm I’m not quite sure what umchi is! But kimchi is pretty delicious. Spicy pickled vegetables *nom*
Mmm – fermented cabbage and prime beef – not an obvious combo, but one that patently works (if the praise coming out of the Twittersphere is anything to go by). I am properly intrigued now. And those ribs sound fine too. Mmmm. Meat.
I have a confession to make *blush* I’ve never tried kimchi! *shhh* But this burger looks delicious even though I can’t imagine how it would taste like!
Twice in one day – very impressive. But not as impressive as this burger which looks ace!
The Grubworm: I know, it’s such a weird combo and definitely not something you’d have if you’re just after a plain burger, but once you have this, you’re gonna crave for it again 😉
Maria: I AM DISAPPOINTED IN YOU. We’re going to Korean when I get back to Sydney.
Gourmet Chick: Haha yeah, I could only manage a bite sized post though. Mainly cos I was in a burger coma.
I have to try this! I’m hearing so much about them right now.
I can totally see this working. Just like kimchee goes well pre-bulgogi (or during or after). There’s just something about beef and spicy cabbage.
jenny: Yeah it’s quite *interesting* – let me know what you think!
Krista: HAH! I’ve never thought of it like that, cos so many people have asked me how beef goes with kimchi! Bugolgi is beef, dammit! You’re a genius 😀
OMG!! kimchi in a burger, sounds dodgy, but OMG i soooooo wanna try it…looks DELICIOUS!
Cant go wrong with meat an kimchi right? kkk
