So, despite the fact that I go on and on and on about instagram, I have to admit that I still whole-heartedly love my camera. My little Canon Powershot s90 is a few years old now, but it still takes the best photos that I have on this blog and blows the socks off the iPhone camera in low light. Even though it’s only a point and shoot, it still takes great photos like these – untouched and unfiltered.
OMG unfiltered! The instagram fairy in me just died a little bit.
Everyone needs a camera. It’s not just great for food photos, because interestingly, not everyone is obsessed with taking photos of their lunch. I know, weird, right? Whether you’re travelling, partying or checking out the local food scene, you’ve got to have your camera on hand to make you some clear, pixel-free memories 🙂

With four children I always wished I had a decent camera to capture special moments.
I wish I had a camera with me on my university graduation day. All the photos I have are from friends.My husband replaced my mobile with a brilliant camera to one that is not so good and doesnt even have a flash.The battery ran out before we even got to the ceremony.My husbands didnt think to bring a camera because we all have cameras in our phones.My Mums camera battery also went flat.I have a handshake photo from the photographer and it is just awful.I graduate from my masters in one months time, good reminder that I need to get the camera situation sorted :))

I wish I had a camera during my schooling years. There were so many fond memories that I wish I could have captured, from the teachers to my best friends. They’d make many great lasting mementos… ah those crazy school days!

I just had a formal event yesterday – took me three hours to dress up for it. Unfortunately, my camera was out of batteries and I didn’t get a single full-outfit shot. Slightly devastated, but I still had a great night!

I wish I’d had a camera in the days before mobile phones when my very drunk friend stripped bare and plastered himself against a street facing picture window in a very busy pub. He formed an X shape, so I would have taken one picture of the…ahem…’scene’, and one of the 5 strategically placed..erm.. heat splodges left on the window after he peeled himself off!
