Isn’t it always the same with holidays? They seem like eons away, and you count and you sleep and you count sleeps, and after longer than eternity times infinity, they finally arrive! And then you go, and before you know it, it’s over. GAH. I hate post holiday blues. I know it was only four days, but four days was enough for me to relax, forget about work and… gain a couple of kilos.

When we had dinner out in Townsville over the Easter weekend, I instgrammed a photo of the sake-tini that Panu had and when someone asked where it was from, I said “a Japanese restaurant in a little town.” My sis-in-law jumped all over that in a second claiming that Townsville is in fact a “city”. When you come back from an eating haven like Hong Kong, the only thing anyone cares about is “what’s the best thing you ate?” Well, actually, for a normal person it might be “what did you buy?” but clearly, I am not normal. I don’t shop (seriously, hate shopping, not sure if I’m meant to be female).

But ask me what the best thing I ate (or drank) and I guarantee you I’ll give you the same answer every time.

Hui Lau Shan.
