If there’s one cuisine that I don’t really lust over, it’s Lebanese. Well it used to be Indian, but then these guys came along and changed the way I viewed Indian food forever. With Lebanese it’s not so much about the actual food, but it’s the parsley! Parsley on everything! And while I have to say that in all of my growing up I really am starting to appreciate parsley, I would still rather gag my way through a rubbery steak than consider downing a spoonful of tabouleh. Blergh.

This is my hometown. I grew up in Brisbane, went to school there, my parents still live there, and now the whole city is flooded 🙁 Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you will have seen the disaster zone in SE Queensland – mainly Toowoomba and Brisbane – where heavy rainfall has resulted in flash flooding and even more scarily, a dam on the brink of bursting (which would mean more water in the already overloaded Brisbane River).

I know it only seems like yesterday that I was clawing to get out of NYC. But now I’m totally excited to go back again for vacation… in exactly four weeks and two days *wooooh!*  I’ve also just booked tickets for Spider Man Turn Off The Dark (infinitely exciting!) and am now on the look out for more places to gorge myself. I’ve never been into pink. I mean, pink is a girl’s colour right? Right. And to be frank, I’ve never been much of a girlie girl. Growing up, I felt awkward in dresses although ok I do remember this one little white dress with tiny little flowers embroidered across the front which I adored, I always felt more at home in shorts and a baggy t-shirt, which was just as well because for most of my childhood I had a bowl haircut anyway, and that honey, just doesn’t go with a dress.
